This program has only been tested under Windows XP. The program should but may not work under other versions of Windows.
This is very preliminary and incomplete. Feel free to come back or ask questions if you can't wait...
Enter the frequency(ies) you want generated, and click "Generate". That's all there is to it.
The program saves all settings when you exit.
The program works by creating very short audio files in the program's directory, then feeding those to the DirectSound engine, so the program must have write access to it's installation directory (it will not run from a read-only media, such as a CD-ROM).
Tone Separation works as follows:
For best results (no interruption in the audio signal), make sure no other program is running in the background.
This will depend on how fast your computer is, and what kind of task is running in the background.
On a fast computer, it may not matter.
The program does not continuously access the hard drive when generating tones, only very briefly when you click
on "Generate".
As always, there are no guarantees. If you have questions, I will do my best to address them.
Bugs?? Nah!!!
